Varuna Writer-a-Day appearance

I’m just coming to the end of a fabulous residency at Varuna The Writers’ House, supported by the Copyright Agency Limited’s Creative Industries Career Fund.

I’ve contributed a brief reading (streaming audio) from my novel in progress, ‘When I first met Martin’, to the Varuna blog’s Writer a Day project:

‘Core of Things’ (Poem), and ‘Interlude in the bedchamber…’ (Poem), The Seagull Poetry Prize 2011 (Williamstown Literary Festival), 29 April 2011

More poems in charming wee booklets by the Williamstown Literary Festival:

  • Runner-up for the Seagull Poetry Prize was ‘Core of Things’ (Poem), The Seagull Poetry Prize: Williamstown Literary Festival 2011, 29 April 2011.
  • Also shortlisted was ‘Interlude in the bedchamber of Martin Luther and Katherina Von Bora’ (Poem).

Melbourne Writer’s Festival: twitter-length poem on text tickers at Federation Square, 25 Aug – 5 Sep 2010

Thanks to the RMIT Mobile Poetry Competition 2010, a twitter-length poem of mine has been selected to appear on text tickers at Federation Square during the Melbourne Writer’s Festival, 27 August – 5 September 2010.

Apparently in due course it will appear as part of an exciting augmented reality iPhone app.  So: look forward to having your realities augmented, you guys.  Also, good to know it will be exciting.

The poem itself as tweeted by @RMIT_Poetry.
